We are able to execute this dream through creative service events and initiatives, spanning nationwide through our three chapters: Oakland, Los Angeles, and Washington, DC.

Oakland Student Service
Oakland Student Service, our flagship chapter, was founded in January 2022 by two Oakland Technical High School students. What started off as a school club application gone wrong quickly became the stepping stone for a nationwide chain of student-led charitable programming. Our work at OSS has directly impacted thousands in the Oakland community since its inception. Learn more about our past, present, and future below.
Los Angeles Student Service
Los Angeles Student Service, our second chapter, serves as a proof of concept for Student Service Corp’s national expansion plan. Our goal when founding OSS was always to expand to Southern California, bringing the community values of Oakland to the City of Angels. We are currently gearing up for our official launch, and are expecting to begin programming in Early May. Click below for updates on our first event and plan for serving Los Angeles.
DC Student Service
Student Service Corp is headed to the East Coast! Spearheaded by Howard University undergraduates, DC Student Service is a first-of-its-kind student-ran nonprofit looking to spread community values and inspire volunteerism within High Schools and Universities across Washington, DC, and the greater DMV area.
